I was totally disheartened today to learn of the closing of one of New Jersey SPCA'S. This used to be a place you could put your trust into for stray animal pickups or Adoptions. The horrific conditions that occured as of lately would make anyone sick. Many complaints were received and live animals were removed to another shelter, all animals were suffering from malnutrition and various other diseases. The city had shut off all utilities to the shelter from lack of payment, leaving dead animals, some house pets,to rott in there one freezer. People may think animal shelters run on their own, they don't. Volunteers and donations are needed to keep them open, sadly this shelter had neither left. I am leaving a link to this story if anyone is interested. Please spay and neuter your pets, donations of even a dollar are appreciated at your local shelters.
